It all began with a passion for sharing what I love the most.
I have dabbled in blogging, content creation & sharing what I love in one way or another for almost 20 years. There's just something about it... I absolutely love NOT gatekeeping. If I visit someplace cool- I want to take beautiful pictures and share them! If I find a nifty product that's working well for me- I want to let everyone know in case they're in the market for something similar. And I love sharing knowledge I gain.
I'm originally from South Carolina but have lived all over the country getting to experience the beauty the USA has to offer. We now live in Montana where our hearts lie and my photography hobby gets to bloom in the best way.
Back in 2018 before it became trendy- my husband and I started diving into the homestead world. We started with a small garden & chickens and it all went holistic from there! Now we do everything from food prep to herbalism to homemaking to homeschooling... everything is rooted with our HOME and I wouldn't have it any other way.
In Feb 2025 I found out I had stage 4 colon cancer. Our world came crashing down on us. But after 2 major abdominal surgeries, 6 months of chemo and a LOT of holistic research, we're all confident I've left cancer in 2025. I'm always accepting prayers for that continuous journey. I have many passions... and none of them are typically combined in one place!
You'll find homesteading blogs and you'll find photography blogs... but I'm not so sure you'll find one person that is showcasing both! That's because I'm not sharing just one niche... I'm sharing ME. I named this site after myself because that's what it's about. I really wanted to be able to share my love of photography- but that's not my job nor something I plan to pursue. It's just a place where I'd love to build a community of likeminded people while sharing all the travel things I've learned along the way.
I have spent many years trying to share and teach homesteading and herbalism to the internet world and it mostly just ate time and money while bringing me a lot of negativity from strangers on the internet. After some time I decided that niching down to homestead education was not my calling. However, it's still our lifestyle and a part of us- as well as something that I'm passionate about, so you will definitely find a chunk of this virtual space dedicated to holistic living. My cancer diagnosis also brought us deeper into the holistic space and I do enjoy sharing products and things we've used and loved that have truly helped change my health around. I do plan on sending monthly homestead newsletters as well as blogging some of my top tips, tricks and recipes!
And if you follow me on socials- you'll definitely see a wider range of content! I share more day to day life and loves such as lego building, beauty videos and more. On Tiktok for 2026 I am focusing on deinfluencing people and promoting underconsumption while paying off as much debt as possible. There are so many amazing things in life that are free- we don't need to be wasting money on more things. Instead invest it into moments.
