My First Blog Post

Every time I've ever blogged before I inevitably create this sort of blog as my first post. It just seems like the thing to do. I suppose I'll use this initial post to establish what the frick frack to expect around here because honestly, I'm still figuring everything out.
In the past I've always concentrated SO HARD on the niche of my blog that I eventually got overwhelmed or bored with it and moved on. I know, nothing will grow and bloom if you don't water it. But I got held up on creating a theme and name for blogs that forced me to concentrate on that particular thing. For example, I've created beauty blogs before with blog names that sounded very beauty-esque. That really left me to only talk about beauty things in that very specifically named beauty space. But we're turning a page here folks because I've decided to just name this blog after ME.
Actually, it was my husband who named this and I went along with it because truly he comes up with the best ideas. And while my virgo mind is spinning he somehow finds a way to ground this earth sign. And we love him for that.
So... what in the whole world will I be doing here? Well, if you follow any of my social media platforms (you should be) then you'll get the vibe that I'm pretty random. But I don't really want this space to be random. I want it to be focused and purposeful. So I've decided that I'm going to have a hard focus of homesteading with a soft focus of photography. Why niche my personality down when I'm more than just one simple thing?
So if you're interested in homesteading then scroll down to the bottom of my site and sign up for my newsletters! Don't worry- I hate getting a hundred emails full of bs as well. And honestly that puts a lot of pressure on me to come up with content to fill up said hundreds of emails. So lets do us both a favor and keep it down to one per month. That way I can really put heart and soul into it and give you something worth your time without bogging down your email.

Don't worry fellow photography peeps! I'll be uploading my latest favorites under my portfolio and I'll be sure to let y'all know when that has an update. Since it's a hobby and not a profession, it's not the focus on this space however I still absolutely want to share my pictures. I also frequently post photography content on my instagram HERE.
